50 of Webster’s paintings were due to be exhibited at the Coral Springs Museum of Art last year. Due to pandemic difficulties, the museum had to limit the number of in-person visitors. Undeterred, Webster decided that if her legions of fans and collectors could not travel to see her work, her work would travel to them.
“This was about bringing my art far and wide, providing beauty and healing at a time when many of us are craving an escape,” says Webster, who is known for her unique style of narrative abstraction: capturing idyllic memories through abstract, colorful landscape. Webster counts Pat Lipsky among her many early art mentors and is inspired by British seascape artists Turner and Whistler. Her artwork is prized by many collectors and current work is currently on exhibit at the Paul Fisher Gallery at The Brazilian Court Hotel. Camilla Webster book will be available on Amazon April 2021.
